Sometimes, it's nice........

to have a lie-in on a dreary winter's morning.

Turn on the electric blanket,
crank up the heater,
gather all my "stuff" around me,
as well as my favourite furry creatures.

My dutiful husband brings me endless cups of tea.
I watch stuff on the tele.
Make calls on the phone.
Surf my favourite sites.
Read bits of my books.

If I'm REAL lucky I might get brekkie in bed.

Riding the Wave

I'm a moody bugger.
Full of life and energy one minute -
grumpy, lethargic and flat as a pancake, the next.
My moods are reflected in my photos.

As would make sense -
When I'm high - they are bright and colourful and life-affirming.
When I'm flat - they are kinda quieter and more reflective.

I'm learning to live with the roller coaster.
Even appreciate it for the different things it brings to my life.
If I am totally honest - it still does frustrate me a little.
Oh well, c'est la vie, right?

What's It All About, Alfie?

Okay, so who is this Alfie?
And why should HE be the arbiter of what constitutes what "it" is all about"?

Alfie? Is that you?

Like most of us, fumbling and bumbling around out there in the world,I've got NO idea "what it's all about"?
Never have.
Never will.
I've given up trying to make sense.
Now, I just let myself be buffeted along by the gusts and gales, the maelstroms, the squalls and try to end up in one piece, at the end of it all!

I don't know why I suddenly feel the compulsion to keep starting new blogs.
Some of you who have been around for a while, know I am prone to the black pits of despair but likewise I ride the highs of joy and aliveness.

Let's just put the new blogs down to the fact that I've got mental energy to burn at the moment.
I don't know how long it will last.
As I said, I don't really worry about those things anymore.
Let's just say - It is, what it is.
Okay?
Okay.

Um....this post was meant to be about music.
I got side-tracked.

Replenished.
Refreshed.

Reawakened.
Revitalized.

Renewed.
Reinvigorated.

More Bloody Plants!

I dunno, I just can't seem to get away from them!
Love to clear out the cobwebs in the soul with a bit of a walk in the bush.

This is pretty much our backyard - well....
kind of....
if you go down the road and up the hill.

Noice, innit?

Ridiculous, isn't it?
Just what I needed.

Funny, isn't it?

.....how things seep into your brain when you're not looking.

I've long been a fan of Rummage.
(well..."long" is a relative term - in this case "long" = 18 or so months, which is as long as I have been blogging)

curdsnwhey

She takes very cool photos of really beautiful stuff,

and she is pretty funny.

well..."funny" is a relative term, isn't it?
Ha ha - only joking -
why....I'm pretty hilarious myself!

ANYWAY....
What was my point?

Oh bugger, I've run out of time - I've got to jump in the shower before work.
I'll have to make my point next post!

Sky High

I like to take photos of sticky flowers, with sky in them.

I dunno why.
I just like the way they look.

So, ya better not give me any trouble.
